So I think one of my turbos is fixin to go. It's making a weird sound that isn't normal to it. I am kinda new to the diesel side of things, I switched from gas to diesels last year. One blew up comepletely on me last year before I had a chance to fix it completley. It was a 6.0.. BUT question here is how can I tell if one of my turbos is going. It sounds like is an air leak coming from one of the tubes one the drivers side. Can I test it with taking it into a shop? and how can I tell if it is the big or little turbo..

Sounds more like the boots that connect the CAC tubes to the Turbo and intercooler. They can split and even come off. I'd sure check them out.

 

Check your up pipes, look at the firewall and see if you have soot. common issue
