There's a very good and potentially dangerous reason that they don't recommend it. What's your or your family's lives worth. Not to mention innocent bystanders.
Oh I agree. But at the same time, they did tell me how to go ahead and adjust it. So there is some margin for adjustment. And I already knew how, I just did't want to flat out make the comment that I think it should've lasted longer. The customers they deal with, like mine in my own line of work, put their products thru all sorts of environments, conditions, and usage.
So i never would have asked the question "how long should it last?".
That being said, my truck is a daily driver to my office and I pull a boat on weekends. I consider it a darn nice and really cared for truck.
I just believe the gear should've lasted a bit longer.
