Alright its Wed Night and Im Bored. Im wondering what you guys are running 0-60. I know Expy's arent rockets, especially the 4.6L with its 215BHP and all. if you guys know the times post em. or find an empty street and drop the hammer. Ill have to check my time tommorow.
My Expy go 0-60 in a really long time. In fact, the harder I push on the gas pedel, the quicker my gas needle moves
Its the weirdest thing, can't figure that one out....
I know how that is! Im just a little bitter because a 3500 gmc denali smoked me hard on the on ramp of a freeway once, it wasnt even close he was car lenghts. those things move. and it was huge!
I haven't done the 0-60 time's myself, but with my homemade FIPK, 75mm TB and ported plenum (upper intake manifold), I have a quicker throttle response off the line. I read somewhere that if you re-gear to a higher differential, you'll have more lower-end power but you'll lose mpg's.
Hey golakers. How did you go about making a homemade FIPK? I could use better throttle responses the 4.6L is just a slug. I dont wanna regear. Im happy getting 16.5 mpg although that homemade fipk has my attention. I dont feel the need to shell out $200+ for one.

Yeah, but he probably had to coast the rest of the way until he hit a gas station.
My Expy isn't fast, but I'd rather be a bit of a slowpoke than be a speed demon that has to fill up his tank 3X a week.
Dont get me a wrong i dont drop the hammer out of every red light. i drive her slow. I was just wondering what kinda times it gets compared to like GM SUV's and what not. and ive never filled my tank 3x a week, well when i was driving 600 miles a week i did fill up twice a week, once on sunday and then again on wed or thursday.
I'm going to try and get my times this weekend. Hard to find a 1/4 mile of unused flat road around here. I'm interested to see how my 4.6 does with the mods I installed.
my dad had a 99 and we always had about 9 sec or less. that was with a jet computer chip, a tranny shift kit, an airraid cold air intake and throttlebody spacer. it had the 3.73's and the 5.4, but we had problems with ours and had to get rid of it
