I did just the look at my watch and nail the throttle out of a light the other day, couldn't believe it so I did it again, and again, and again, but ( I hope this doesn't make anyone mad) I got 7.5, 7.8 and 7.9 second times. Is this weird or what ? This is in a 1 ton, 15 pass, stock Ford E-350 with 3.73 gears. I knew my V-10 was a screamer but am I full of s*%# ? I did it over and over (my kids think I've lost my marbles) and it was always the same, under 8 seconds. Anyone else have times in this area ? Or is this pretty normal ?
Ever since I put Slick 50 in I've been hovering around in the low 6's. The Tornado took another second off and gave me 3mpg increase (city). The 8" tip I just installed...well...another 1/2 second but the big gain was the wing I stole of a Mexican's (no offense to Mexicans) '92 Hyundia. I am now into the low 3's...
OK, I armour-all'd the tonneau and hooked up a small (12') tandem axle car trailer and gave it a shot. I'm not sure what this trailer weighs, but it is built heavy. I didn't feel right just checking 0-60 times empty, it is a truck! 13.2 seconds. I do have to say that wheel spin is a bit of a problem taking off with the trailer attached.
monsta you need to reduce your rolling resitance, slap on some 3 inch wide tires on 10" wide rims and make sure the backspacing lets them stick at least 12" out of the fender well then you might see those 2's pop up.:-staun
> COOL! Maybe they sell some at the online store!!
>Thanks!
I'm guessing then that I made all you fellow V-10'ers envious then, hence the non-serious replies. Was it the 7 and a half second time that made y'all nervous ? Or the fact that I can seat 10+ and still burn most folks out of a stop light WHILE they're having a cool drink from the bar and watching a DVD in cool air conditioned comfort ? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!! Ken

Me too, peace and love and puppies and flowers to you Monsta (wow, THAT all kinda doesn't fit together does it ??, hooty hoo !!)
I'm not much into racing or high-performance, but just for grins what kind of 0-60 & quarter-mile times would you expect out of my stock 2003 V10 F250 in it's present configuration (see my sig)? It's an automatic BTW.
