Bear hug the turbo with an arm around each side to get to the rear bolt. If a 10mm strips out, use a 17mm damaged bolt remover to grad the shoulder of the bolt:
Irwin 53911 Bolt Extractor, for 17mm Bolts, Reverse Spiral Flutes, 3/8" Drive, Bulk

Look at a picture of the pedestal for the location of the three bolts, the front should be pretty easy to see:

(edit: pic is an '03, either google a later model pic or just know the rear bolt is flipped 90* and the top points straight up. I'm on an iPhone and can't link pics well)

Tks
That one is the one I could see lol.
Found where the front passenger side was supposed to be--it's gone. Now the driver side. Too many wires in the way.

Correct pedestal for an 06:
http://diyford.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/71.gif

For the too many wires problem, since you're pulling the intake go ahead and take out the injector harness, and unhook all the sensors to allow yourself pull the main harness forward. You'll have to do it eventually. Since you have to take it all out, do the alternator and oil/fuel filter housing and the harnesses first.

Heads up, pay attention to the bolts and studs in the intake, put everything back in its original hole because there's three types of fasterners holding the intake in

IIRC the 03 back bolt goes in vertically not horisontal like the front.
The first time I pulled one I spent half a day trying to get a socket on that dang ear instead of the bolt head. LMAO
By the way those extracers work good.

The early turbo has 3 horizontal bolts, late style is 2 horizontal front and a vertical rear bolt.

All are 10mm bolt heads.

No, the '03 and early '04 are horizontal like the front. It's the later ones that are vertical in the back.

Ok so of course I have an 06. The easiest one front passenger side--gone. The front driver side--took me 45 minutes to get the wire harness out of the way enough to get it out. Both of those were horizontal. The rear vertical bolt wasn't too bad to get to I was able to get a socket to it to break it loose then I put the air rachet to it. I went over the down pipe with the ratchet. All came loose without much effort. I'll pin the thread to my other one when done. Getting the turbo out isn't bad at all but I spent an hour getting my bearings on it because that one bolt was missing!!!

Kroil is your best friend and his cousin nickel anti-size for the bolts
that come in the kit and go back in. They are not even TTY just well
cooked from all that heat. Good place to cook your dinner back near
that hot side of the turbo.

Yep, my bolts were very easy to get out. I was suprised. The pedestal is rusted so bad I would have thunk even with the penetrent that I would strip the heads but it didn't take much at all.

You get new turbo bolts with the turbo installation kit, so no need to reuse. Getting them out is easy, getting them back in is hard... there are some tricks to use.

yep already have the install kit. One of the things I picked up early one--turbo off=new hardware. The way I feel this morning everything is going to be hard moving forward lol.

I probably should have done that. I looks like though my fuel injector harness is attached to the main harness (taped up) but I could be wrong. I did get all the sensors unplugged and the driver side injectors unhooked. Hopefully I can make more headway after work today but man I'm hurtn lol.
