I have replaced my return lines after a leak and they keep popping off. I have them on super tight and i dont know if im building too much pressure somehow but i cant seem to figure out the issue any help?
What do you mean by popping off? Are the lines between the injectors coming off? or is this someplace else you're talking about.
There shouldn't be much pressure running through, but its possible the return line to the tank is blocked somewhere. You could try disconnecting the line at the rear of the engine that goes down to the tank and trying to blow through it. You should hear bubbles in the tank.

Yes the lines in between i have checked and there is no blockage but they pop off i also have where my tank switchover valve is stuck inbetween tanks so it wont turn on the electric pumps and i wish i could just bypass it without buying a new valve w/o spending money because i have none

Huh? There are no electric pumps on the diesel trucks. The selector valve is different than the gas models. On the diesel trucks it switches the sending and return lines as well as the fuel sender wiring. I believe on the gas ones it changers the fuel sender/pump wiring, and then the pump in the tank pressurizes the fuel which then pushes the valve over.
If your selector valve is stuck partway, the return line could be blocked there where it won't go to either tank, or be restricted enough it backs up and pops off.
remove the lines from the selector valve and bypass it.simply hook up the rear tank (delivery and return) and keep the switch in the cab on the rear switch.now you'll have the fuel gauge reading correctly,no more issues with the return lines popping off because the fuel will return directly back into the rear tank without the blockage of the bad selector valve.won't cost ya anything if you've got some diesel rated hose laying around and you'll be good to go with just the rear tank.
