Yah,
When I had my doors off, I remember, i put the drivers side door back on and went to close it and it bounce back at me, (wasnt expecting that) So i untightend the bolts that go into the cab side. and slid the whole to the right, theres room for adjusting i guess.I dont rememebr if I had to take the bolts out completely or not so you may have to take the door off and get the bolts in over more. I also did it by myself which kinda sucks. Them doors are awkward and a bit heavy.
YOull figure it out whhen yyou get in there,
cheers man.

I had the same problem once but it turned out to be that the body mounts were rusting out and the body was sagging. Hope this is not what is going on with you. The fix is a pain.
hey zamboni250.
the bottom corner of my right door rubs on the fender, only on the bottom. The fender is sloped down toward the front . I hope this isn't body mounts, What do you think?
Derek,
If the fender is sloping to the front it's most likely not the body mounts. If it were the mounts the body would be sagging in almost the middle, pinching the door at the top. Just check under the cab where your body mount bushings bolt the cab to the frame. If there is rust present scrape some off with a wire brush to determine if the rust is surface rust or actual metal decay. If surface rust, clean the area and coat with rust resolver or rust avenger and then paint. If it is actual decay then you have to weld in new metal and remount the cab. It may just be that your hinge bolts are stripped out. Good luck!
Yes I was refering to the door hinge. Are the bolts fine on both sides of the hinge? has the door been removed or damaged recently? If the body mounts check out, could the frame be twisted? Has the vehicle been in an accident, been serious off-roading, or winched or towed out of a bad stuck?
Just take a second to doublecheck the pins and bushings that the hinges use to pivot on.Open your doors and lift up on the bottom corner of the doors(corener of the door closest to the cabcorner) and see if there is any kind of slop in there. If there is,have a buddy or someone to help locate where most of the play is comming from. They are usually a fairly easy and low-cost repair to do.
When I bought my 63, the Passenger door just about "popped" against the fender, it was rubbing so bad. To make things really bad, the previous owner had had the truck painted without fixing this problem, so the new paint was chipped down that edge for a bout 18" or so. I was goinig to pay a Body Shop an estmated $175.00 to fix it (their estimate), but put LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT MOUNTS in, and that fixed it completely! Seems all the front sheetmetal hangs on that radiator support on 61-66 trucks! That also eliminated 99.9% of the (loud)rattles going over bumps that up to then I thought were from the hood rattling. Also stumbled on a good match (close, not perfect) of Krylon Teal Green for my Tropical Turquoise. I sanded the edge (about a 3/16" strip, taped it , primed lightly, them sprayed it- the eye can't see it unless you get close and look very carefully!
