Since I already use that brand and formula it was a no brainer to stock up. They do limit us to six 5.1 Qt jugs per order, processed and shipped out as two orders of 3 each. Because the order totals more than $35 shipping is free whether you're subscribed to the Amazon Prime program or not.
Just a heads up for us AND Amazon too---I'm sure they need the sales?!
PS: This is posted only to alert the forum of a good deal, nothing more--its what I buy and use. If this particular brand, type, formulation or weight doesn't suit you that's fine. The link potentially could lead to shopping around on Amazon for the type you need.
Well I posted this as an alert to what's available, not necessarily seeking answers not even asked like "what oil do you use?"
On another forum several others found similar good deals on Amazon even if it was a different brand, type, formulation, weight--I guess it prompted them to do a little bit of searching for themselves?
Anyway it was FYI and FWIW-----use it as you may or may not.
Have you ever thought of buying the 5 gallon buckets ?
I never thought to check for it in that sort of packaging; thought-provoking.
FWIW I started buying in the 5.1 qt jugs mostly to eliminate all those single quart bottles---I use 7 qts each oil change. While the larger jugs are just slightly less convenient it saves all that plastic from hitting the recycling bins. Given that it lowers my waste impact on the environment the minor, minor difference in how I store and dispense new motor oil its better than juggling all those smaller bottles.
I like the larger bottles because I can drain my used oil into them and drop it off at our city Public Works Dept for recycling. And they are less cumbersome to store.
I do routinely use MaxLife 10W40 in my old BMW, but the special pricing is only on the 5W30. I should do an Amazon order ASAP.
