I know we all have discussed john wood an bts fairly often...
how about others?
I have seen others running racerx valve bodies but how many people run their complete unit?

I heard twisted diesel transmissions are good? Just hearsay off one post from another forum.
Im pretty much running a BTS valve body, and just purchased a torque converter from Bob at diesel site. Triple disk that says up to 600 HP, 600$. I know my transmission is going to blow up, Im fully aware. But Im also not even close to a full built one, so its pretty much a valve body, upgraded TC, and some gypsy tears to protect me for as long as I can make it last

I was really close on pulling the trigger on a RacerX. What blew the deal is I had to have a qualified installer locally. I figured if that's the case, I'll drive a couple hundred miles and get a John Woods. Even now, I feel there are three top trans builders in the country, BTS, John Woods & RacerX.

I'm running a racer x valve body and billet converter from them. Just a heavy duty rebuild on the trans itself though. No problems with it so far, but I'll have a lot less power than you Aaron. You know as well as anyone though, if you drive it like a normal person something like I have will last quite a while. Drive like a drunk teenager and, well, it won't last long. My trans guy told me basically the same thing.

Yea that about sums it up..I'm gonna just have to very careful. My budjet has taken a hit lately. I was hoping to get the engine stuff done and have the spring and early summer before rre to figure trans out. Now I'm thinking its going to be after rre and camping season before I take a chance on it. Stock for now it is.:-(
