So I bought the truck in January, never have owned a diesel before, and of course the truck came with a ts 6 position chip. So i plugged the chip in...while the truck was running. My buddy with a professional code scanner computer and Plugged it up to my code reading port and the computer doesnt show anything. But when i go To start the truck it will run the starter and cycle, but wont fire. I think.this.is due.to.no wait to start light, i need some help guys
No cel ? no wait to start ? Check fuses and unplug the fuel bowl heater . Replace the blown fuse . That may be your only problem , shorted fuel bowl heater .
INSTALLATION:
Wait.. you say you plugged the chip in with the engine running??
I copied the following directly from the TS installation instructions.....
"Disconnect both of the negative battery terminals before starting any of the installation. Failure to do so can result in damage of the vehicles PCM (computer)"
