Engine swap - throttle linkage ideas

I have swapped an EFI 302 out of an f150 into my 64 f100, and now have to hook up the throttle linkage to the gas pedal. I have the cable that works the throttle butterflys on the motor, just not sure the best way to hook it up, as my f100 has the carb rod coming from the gas pedal linkage.

Any ideas/examples on what some of yall have done with engine swaps in your trucks? Thanks.

Can you go back to the F150 you got the engine out of and also salvage the gas pedal and throttle cable? I put a '91 Mustang 5.0 SEFI engine in my '64 Falcon and used the Mustang's throttle cable and gas pedal (modified).

I thought I had saved the gas pedal from the F150, but it must have gone to the scrap yard with the truck. My big issue with the stock throttle cable from the f150, is that it is too short to make it into the cab. I may look into those Lokar cables. I have also been thinking about building a linkage inside the engine compartment, but want something that is not an eye sore.

If it was long enough for the F150 why isn't it long enough for your '64?
I have a 92 Mustang 5.0 in my 66. The '66 gas pedal was very similar to the Mustang pedal and only required a small modification to use the Mustang throttle cable. Maybe a trip to the salvage yard would be helpful....
This pic shows the modification for the cable but the cable isn't inserted yet. It's supposed to come through that hole in the firewall and attached to the pedal....

I will be faced with the same deal in my 300 swap, decide on a cable. Check out the old Bronco linkage.

With the 302 swap I went with direct linkage pedal assembly, did require cutting hole in firewall to insert the throttle arm. It would seem there should be some type of universal bracket that would mount to carb, and or, intake and adjustable to accommodate a throttle cable set up??
