The intake is an Edelbrock Performer that I bought over 20 yrs ago...but I have a factory Ford cast-iron 4bbl manifold sitting here, I might just bolt that thing on.
I like factory cast iron intakes. I have had trouble myself with aluminum intakes sealing. If you have ever worked on any of the newer factory vehicles with aluminum and plastic intakes, you will notice they have all these weird special type gaskets you have to use when you install them. Apparently they have trouble sealing them also.

That engine rebuild I had with this intake manifold was good. It ran strong for many years.

I just gave my cast iron manifold an inspection, and I think it looks good to go. I've never run it, I got it from a donor truck.
Performance-wise, I don't think there should be too much difference between the Edelbrock Performer that I had and the Ford 4 bbl. on a basically stock engine. Definitely heavy though!

Cast iron manifold bolted to cast iron heads will give you years of trouble free service.
