I have a new 97 long block, 4.2 V6. I am ready to put the gasket and intake manifold on. The holes don't seem to line up exactly. It maybe just the thick gasket. This is my first manifold install. Should I have to put alot of force on the manifold to fit it down in the V of the heads? Any suggestions?

 

What kind if fit do you have without the gaskets in place?
If there is still a lineup problem, something is wrong.
