Manifold gasket

I've got an '85 4.9 F150 that needs to have the exhaust manifold gasket replaced. I've seen a couple of post about doubling up on the gasket and I'm wondering if the intake gasket needs to be doubled also or is the intake gasket singled and the exaust gasket doubled?

Have the exhaust manifold surfaced this will straighten it up and make it seal better. you will have to take it loose from the intake.

I've had the manifold resurfaced and I know that I'll have to take it apart but I was wanting to know if you had to double the intake manifold gasket or just double the exhaust manifold gasket? I appreicate everyone's help.

If the manifold is straight and flat you shouldn't have to double the gasket. The trick is when you reassemble the two mainfolds is do not tighten the three bolts holding the two manifolds until you have torqued the manifold bolts down
