Long Bed

Does anyone know what the difference is between a 1950 long bed and a '53 thru '56 long bed? Will a '53 thru '56 long bed still fit a 1950? I'm not concerned with originality, just the fit.

They are pretty similar, size wise. It will likely bolt to your '50 frame OK, but your '50 fenders won't bolt up right. If you use the later fenders, the running boards may not bolt up.

Hmm. Very interesting. I may be able to get the '53 thru '56 fenders with it. As far as running boards are concerned, I was planning on using a set of short ones that I have. Perhaps this might work.

By the way, does anyone disagree that a '53 thru '56 long bed should fit in place of a '50 F2 long bed as long as I get the fenders with it. I only ask for confirmation because once I make the purchase, it's mine whether it fits or not.
