My truck is a late '94 F350 7.3, 5 speed manual, all original, always in Florida. When the weather here turns "cold" (50F or less) the starter circuit is disabled - the starter solenoid will not energize. The usual culprit is the clutch safety switch, I've changed out a few of them over the years; but not this time. When this happens I start the truck using a bypass pushbutton under the dash to put +12 directly to the solenoid.
I've seen some starter circuit w/d's that show a factory "antitheft module" in series with the clutch safety switch in this circuit. I think this is where I need to go to fix this, but I don't know where to find it. Can anyone tell me where this thing is located in my truck, and what wires on it are the two that are in the starter circuit? I'll jumper the thing out short term until I buy and install a replacement.
As always, so grateful if someone has been down this road before and can bail me out, thanks in advance.
