Chip advice
I have a 97 F250 7.3 power stroke but it has a 93 E4OD auto tranny. Can they make a chip for this situation. I know you cant use the 97 auto tranny program it makes the tranny slip. The engine likes the program but the tranny does not.

The issue isn't the program making the slip I don't think, if you have a 93 trans it's probably from an IDI, the idi trans does not have the same amount of clutch packs that the psd tranny has, and even the psd E4OD isn't buit strong enough for the PSD, so your driving a ticking time bomb if that's the case... that's what happened to mine, someone put a IDI e40d tranny in it and it smoked the clutch packs because there weren't enough to hold up to the torque of the engine.

With the chip installed I must raise the RPM to about 1800 to even get the truck to start moving and that is in the stock position. Without the chip just put it in gear at idle and it starts moving. The chip is causing a problem with the tranny.
