1999 steering column
I've got a 1999 f-250 steering column with a few issues. I'd like to swap it out complete with a good used one. What years will interchange? What models? Mine is an XL with power locks as well, would there be a chance that wiring for remote keyless entry would be there and I could install module? It does not auto lock/unlock after cycling ignition the 8 times.

What kind of issues? I AM NOT SURE, I THINK, mid to early 90's mechanical parts might interchange. The locks are separate from the steering column. I do not know what you need for this, sorry not much help if nothing else a bump! I have not had to work on steering columns later than 2000, would be mine...

Thanks sgarder, My question was really 2. adding remote keyless, and my column shifter is about to fall off, cruise controls have issues, overdrive button is trashed, wires poking up through shifter boot.

Edit: didnt pay attention first time and refered for early 90's model. Your best bet is to Find a similar year (no more than 2-3 years apart) at a junkyard and pull one it will most likely work. As for the remote start they have kits for that, check out lmc truck.
