Installed the 08+ tow mirrors this weekend from 1AAuto. Like them very much so far, quality seems very good for aftermarket mirrors, only thing so far is the caps seem pretty cheaply made but once I got them properly snapped in I think they should be fine.
I know it has been posted before but here is another picture of the size difference!
While I had the door panels off also replaced front speakers with a pair of Rockford 6x8s.
Fixed the trip computer thanks to the information here!
Just ordered a Kenwood DDX5901 so should have something to do this weekend.
Need to do a bit of work on the back hatch as it doesn't lock and sometimes even though it is shut the sensor is not getting pushed to shut dome light and light on dash off. Been doing a bit of reading on here but haven't found the solution yet.
How do you like the Fosgates with the factory head unit?
Been awhile, been busy with other projects. The fosgates were a big improvement over stock speakers but one of them were blown so not sure it is a good comparison.
Don't sweat the electrode erosion. Big gaps make "Super Power"- just like 9" exhausts on diesels, LOL!
Glad you're getting them changed. Problems with even just one can mess with your timing advance (knock sensors retard it) in gassers, robbing you of power and fuel efficiency.
You may find a noticeable increase in performance and rpm smoothness through redline.
Luckily did not have any issues getting them out. Truck didn't run bad before but runs much better now. I was given partial maintenance records when I bought it and overall looks to have been maintained well but obviously previous owners have missed a few things. I now plan to check over everything to see where I stand and what else might need attention.
