Perfect use of a Prius!

I have a range and a lot of ammo if anyone has a spare Prius? Could make an event around that.

Lol, our Kel-tec KSG is a fun toy, gets a LOT of attention when we take it shooting. The employees at our local shooting range fight for a chance to 'test' it.

Got the towing mirrors in from 1aauto, they look great. Suppose to warm up this weekend so hope to get them installed.

Still looking for ideas on the Safari Rack.

Stock CD changer and overhead dvd player do not work so looking to replace both of them. Will go with a double DIN touchscreen in the dash, not sure what to do with the overhead dvd player, any suggestions?

For in dash double din, I chose the pioneer 5000nex. I like the bluetooth and the gps, however after playing with it, I could have gone with the 4000nex and used my phones gps/maps through the bluetooth or usb connection and had all the benefit for less money.

Just a thought, I'm very happy with my pioneer!

I've update the screen with a custom "PowerStroke" logo.

So you're going to have a couple people on the roof rack? Like a party boat? I'm a parrothead too and you're going to have margarita-saturated people falling off that thing in the parking lot before the concert. You better plan on installing rails.

Do you want it removable? You're going to have to anchor it to the front of the truck too. I really doubt you're going to find anything off the shelf that wouldn't need to be heavily customized anyway.

And a bigger screen with the 4000. I don't know why the specs are weird on the NEX series like that

Yes the plan is that it will hold 2 people on top and I understand what you are saying with the margaritas. I would like to have a permanent rack with removable rails and ladder (so when we are not using it don't the extra weight and can remove the ladder when I am not around at the concert). Concert use will be a side benefit, mainly want it for events with the store.

I am sure I can not find anything off the self that will work but thought I might find something I could start with. We will see what I can get designed, might not get anything safe enough for concert use (need an ladder that automatically folds up midday before margaritas take to much effect).

Been quite awhile since I have put an aftermarket stereo in a car but have had good luck with Pioneer in the past. I was looking at the Kenwood DDX372BT because I like the idea of having a volume **** and for the inexpensive price. Besides the screen size what else am I missing with the Kenwood over the Pioneer for the price difference? I do like the Apple Carplay on the Pioneer but the only thing I would use it for is navigation (don't do much talking or texting while driving).

Has anyone tried the Kenwood yet, thoughts?

They had to custom build one but it was Niccccceeeee!!--one of those you could toss a couple of deer in

08+ Tow Mirrors

Installed the 08+ tow mirrors this weekend from 1AAuto. Like them very much so far, quality seems very good for aftermarket mirrors, only thing so far is the caps seem pretty cheaply made but once I got them properly snapped in I think they should be fine.

I know it has been posted before but here is another picture of the size difference!

While I had the door panels off also replaced front speakers with a pair of Rockford 6x8s.
Fixed the trip computer thanks to the information here!

Just ordered a Kenwood DDX5901 so should have something to do this weekend.
Need to do a bit of work on the back hatch as it doesn't lock and sometimes even though it is shut the sensor is not getting pushed to shut dome light and light on dash off. Been doing a bit of reading on here but haven't found the solution yet.

Gun Grove,

I am also in the middle of a major mod on a 03 Eddie V10 6.6 4x4, but can not post any pics....too big and don't know or too lazy to figure out.

About 70% done with this fun project. Not a daily driver as the #4 in auto lineup for me. Use to haul a boat 25' boat sometime and Porsches to the track 3-4 times a year. Not a lot of action, but putting a little country into my blood.

I am in the process of putting the last touch on my safari rack with PIAA lights and happy to share via email.Waiting for the All Terraine lights for front outside of rack.

JPs Mods when done next month .........

> Painted truck
> New Grill
> new interior - interior - new dash
> New stereo - Yes the Pioneer 4000NEX, Focal 5x7 speakers and 12 sub with 1200 amps
> Safari rack with 4 PIAA driving lites / 2 PIAA All Terrain kites and 2 reverse lites on back of rack for trailer.
> custom badges ordered (Salt H2O edition)
> 35" tires - not done
> 20" wheels - not done
> 4" Lift (?) still researching
> shocks
> Flow master muffler
> 5 Star tune and Y pipe
> custom ladder being made to get up to safari rack

Where did you get the "switches" for your aux lights, compressor etc ?

Don't mean to hijack post, but looking for something like that for my safari rack and PIAA lights.

Thanks
