Wow, well I have just been told that I've drove someone batty when I've done nothing wrong. It does not matter if you have had your transmission in your truck since it was new. If someone comes with information that indicates that possibly the transmission is not stock and it does not have the standard "H" pattern then give him the benefit of the doubt. The Overdrive and Transmission were two different threads. I noticed that there was no "T" handle, no kick down switch, so I asked. I noticed that my support beam has been moved forward and that the shifting pattern is not the typical deal, so I asked about my transmission. They are two different topics.
The thing is, you are not paying attention to my responses. In your Overdrive thread, I posted the following picture (see below).
This is the Overdrive unit at the rear of the trans. If it doesn't have it, the O/D trans has either been swapped out, or it wasn't there in the first place.
TRANS code stamped on the Warranty Plate, 1965 F100:
A= Ford Type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission / B= Warner T-85N 3 Speed Overdrive / G = Automatic Transmission.
If it has a 3 speed trans, it has the H slot gearshift pattern.
Ok thank you, now I understand better. I was under the impression that the transmission and the overdrive were one unit. So, with the picture that I have provided can you make since of it and tell me what overdrive unit that is or what that is that I've taken a picture of. I wan't to put this back to stock and so I'm trying to figure out what I need to do so. Again, I'm sorry.
Ok so there is different options for OD that bolt on to the back of the transmission, is there a list of ODs that were standard when this rolled of the floor?

Left: Warner Overdrive Unit / Right: Warner transmission it bolts to.
There was only ONE Overdrive trans used in 1965/71 F100's.
Ok I'm really sorry to keep dragging this along but I'm still lost in the sauce. From what I understand there is ONE transmission and overdrive unit for the 65 Ford F100? If that is the case why would someone move my transmission support beam forward a few inches? I unfortunately don't have it removed but would a picture help any?

Been watching this thread go in circles and thought it might be prudent to call timeout and step pack to the OPs original comments which may help shed some light on this.
ShaneCarruth: you commented that you came to conclusion the tranny wasn't original because you noticed the x-member had been moved. Can you elaborate on how you could tell it had been moved? Extra holes? Witness impressions in built up dirt/grease? Just asking because I have a 65 and my buddy has a 66 w/352 and OD but haven't been under either one in so long that I can't remember if the factory provided multiple sets of holes in the frame or if there's only one location of the xmember and therefore only one set of holes.
Would be happy to expand on my suspicion. I crawled underneath and saw that there was a second set of holes and the empty set of holes have washer markes and sunken in, like they were tq down. Second indication there is no wire and solenoid on the od. My suspicions with the help of numberdummy that it was replaced with a synco 3 speed.

There is no X member on any Ford truck. X members are usually installed on convertibles and hardtops to strengthen the frames.
What the OP is referring to is the bolt-on rear engine support (some people call this a cross member) that the trans mount bolts to.
The post you quoted originally contained my phone number, which I deleted once the OP called me and we hashed out the problemo.
