1356 t-case shift linkage

The t-case in my 87 has been going out for a while now. The rear seal leaks, the case has JB-welded holes in it (u-joint broke and drive shaft knocked into it a few times), and now it pop out of 4wd; which could be the shift fork going.

Anyway, the truck has the rare 1987 only sliding t-case linkage. 1983 Ford Bronco Diagrams picture | SuperMotors.net
This one.

Not all 87's had it either. I have a 1356 out of an 89 truck that will fit, but it's made for the more common linkage, that was used from 87 to 96, which I believe looked like this:

I've pretty much given up looking for a truck with a donor t-case that'll be a direct fit. I don't really want to tear open the good case to see if the shift arm will swap over.

It occurred to me the other day, that I might be able to change the linkage on the truck, since the linkage just bolts to the side of the adapter and sticks up through the floor of the cab.

The problem is that the only thing anyone seems to sell is the moving part of the linkage, not the mounting plate with the detents that bolts to the transmission adapter.

The plates are shown here: 1983 Ford Bronco Diagrams picture | SuperMotors.net

but I don't see any part numbers. In the other page the lower assembly is listed as 7210 in the diagram, but that doesn't seem to correspond to anything when I search for it.

They don't come up on parts yard searches, I haven't been able to find one on ebay either.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the plate, or the whole shifter assembly?

Thanks!

I don't believe there is any difference in the T-cases. I'm pretty sure you can use either shifter/linkage setup. I haven't done it myself, but I've read that they're interchangeable several times...
