np 203 shift linkage

np 203 shift linkage
i just rebuilt the np 203 t case in the truck listed below. when i installed it i found out i was missing one of the shift linkages that goes between the t case and the shifter assy. i called around to around 20 different junkyards and a whole bunch of companys that carry old ford truck parts both new and used. no one had the linkage. the peice i need is the "S" shaped peice of linkage. i have the straight one. does anyone know where i can find one of these at??? i know i am probably going to have to custom fab one. is there any way that anyone could give me the dimentions of it. ie what angles, length, distance from hole to hole, etc the bar is. seems it is bent id asume that it is bent for a reason and i dont want to mess it up a dozen times befor i get it right.

cool man. ill have to give him a call. you are sure it is for a np 203 and not a 205. some of the places i called said they had it for the part time case. witch is the 205. it is a straight peice and a "L" shaped peice that i need for the 203.

Yep, a Np203. One Rod is pretty straight and the other is crooked for what ever reason. I had to replace mine because I got the stupids one day and forgot to tie them up while working on the truck. And then pulled the truck foward to get it out of the way. Next thing I know, I have 2 bent Rods and no idea how they were suppose to look. Sent you the info already. Let me know how it goes.

lmao i have done that before. i just dont know what happened to mine. one day (befor the chain broke) it started shiftin weird. i guess thats why. and the sad thing is is i cant remember taking it off when i pulled the tranny. and if i did i have no idea what i could have doen with it. i didnt loose any of the bazillions of needle bearings that go inside of the t case but i manage to loose the shift linkcage. i must be getting old. ill be 24 this july lol. i got to call the guy back tomorow and he will check if he has a set.

i lost that PM when they disabled the mesaging. e mail me so i can get the info from oyu again. called him last week but he wasnt in the shop (cell phone) and i lost the number befor i had time to call him back. i havent heard from the guy i was going to buy the linkage from. he hasnt e mailed me in a couple days. you know any one else that might have a spare set of linkage??? or better yet could you post the linkage measurments from bolt hole to bolt hole and angles it needs to be so i can make a new one.
