I am going to have an IPR EGR delete done. Having a hard time telling whether I have the round or square EGR. Looking on the passenger side anywhere to look specifically so I make the correct ID. Want to order the correct one. They said build date is not a good way to ID. Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Here is a picture of the square egr cooler. Visible just under the passenger side rail of the intake manifold. On a fully assembled engine you can get a look at it just beside and below the turbo, if you're at the right angle. It's easy to see it flat on the top. The early round cooler will be...round. I believe the mid year design changes included both the square cooler and the ICP sensor being relocated to the passenger side valve cover. If you have a roundish sensor with three wires on the valve cover just behind the alternator it should be a square cooler. If there's no sensor there it should have a round cooler.
ICP sensor- looking at it standing by passenger side front tire.
I don’t seem to have the plug, but am I safe to assume that I have the square EGR cooler? Sorry for being so **** about this. Just want to order correct one. Thanks
According to those who know, that's one of the best. There are some recent design changes or optional parts I've heard mention of. Can't remember the details but I'm sure someone will post up soon.
