Exhaust Brake Problem ???

2017 EB Flashing, won't engage.
I've had the same issue twice in the past week, I use the EB often. First time the truck was at operating temp while driving, second time was just after startup while idling. Seems common enough that FoMoCo would have some sort of explanation.

I would recommend downloading the forscan app and checking codes on there. I dont know what kind of code reader you are using but if it's a more generic one it's only reading codes from the PCM. If you use ForScan you can pull codes from all the modules in the truck that aren't getting pulled on a generic code reader.

I had this problem a while back i would hit the button to turn on EB and it would flash and turn off and truck wouldnt build boost past 20psi. Few weeks later after thinking my vgt had a clogged vein the trucks batteries were dead. Swapped out batteries and havnt had the issue since. It must be a voltage issue.
