brake light questions

brake light questions
Ok, Ill try to explain this the best I can...... This morning I was stopped at a light, and both brake lights were on. I put on my left blinker, and my right brake light went out. I did it like 3 times, and it did it everytime. Later I had my friend check it, and it was all good, everything worked fine. We then noticed the 3rd lght was out. I went to swap it just now, and the bulb is melted in there. Anyone have any Ideas on whats going on? This thing is wired for a trailer, But I just got this thing, so I really dont know the history on it. Thanks for the help
