Yeah, it's yellow (crappy) limestone, mixed with silt clay. Dirty, nasty, DUSTY stuff. Wet or dry, it gets everywhere. A couple of Amish kids washed HALF of my other truck on Saturday....put about 25 miles on it since, and you can't tell one side was ever washed....In the summer, a BICYCLE raises a cloud of dust.
I dunno....I'd rather have a tire guy ruin a stock steel rim that costs $75 to replace, then a fancy Aluminium one that cost $200-$300 or more....Besides, I ain't going for LOOKS, I just need them to keep rubber between the truck and the ground.
You never had a aluminum wheel stuck to the rotor or brake drum? It's a big problem with some of the OEM aluminum rims.
The neighbor kid had a flat a couple of months ago. It was on an Exploder with aluminium rims. He called me to come look at it. He had it jacked up, lugs bolts off, and the wheel would NOT budge. Had to take a big hammer and a block of wood. He held the block, I SMACKED it with the hammer. It busted loose after 3 hits....
I had new tires installed on an E450 super duty with Alcoa wheels several years back and they had a hard time getting the wheels loose from the hub. They had two guys working on it with a big pry bar between the duals to break them loose. And, this was at a Ford dealership.

My plow truck came with aluminum rims. I had to attack two of them with a sledgehammer to get them off. They would not even think about moving, even with a 3lb maul. I had to use an 8lb sledge and not be kind about it.
The black rims on my Nissan are Pro Comp 16" steel wheels. $80 a wheel. Nissan 16" wheels would have set me back twice that. The F250 is getting some custom ones from XD wheels.

BUT....rims for a DUALLY are a different monster...
Any rims for the 95 F350 should work. The Super Duty remodel was the main change in wheel lug pattern. I can't confirm how far back the 8-6.5" circle dates.
OUCH! Even if I liked the looks of any of those, NO WAY coud I justify $1500 (or more) for rims that would get torn up from use. This truck spends most of it's life hauling on dirty, dusty, nasty rock roads (see original post photos....). They'd look good for AWHILE, but not very long. I will stick with stock steel rims.
