You all helped so wonderfully with my last issue, so I thought I'd trouble you with another conundrum. I was given a set of rims to use on my truck by a gentleman that had them on his early/mid 80's F150 before he had to sell it because it had been wrecked, and he couldn't keep up with the rust repair.
When I got them they were rather filthy, so I cleaned them up and took them to the tire store to have them put on. The rep came out to look at the rims, and immediately shook his head, saying that they couldn't be used. He pointed out to me that the lug bolt holes are all slightly misshapen outward, thus rendering the rims useless.
I talked to the guy who gave me the rims, and he told me that he had these on his truck for a couple years after the accident and just took them off when he got rid of the truck. I've attached a few pictures below. Was the guy at the tire store lying, ignorant, or are these rims really worthless?
Thats what happens when crackheads get ahold of power tools. My friend bought a 79 trans am that some one had installed wheels that way. It wasn't centered and the wheel spun out of round. My friend immediately replaced the wheels, but the bearings were already wasted.
