I'll shorten it to 3 feet. I can pull up to the door and it won't open consitently. I have two other vehicles with Home Link and don't have this problem. I think 20 feet would be ok. anything less seems less than desirable, especially if it does better in my other vehicles. We will see if a reprogram will make it better.
that is a good one the siren will tell the wife to get the door up fast because my remote will not work right.
My wife always yells, "Look out! There's a cop!" Thing is I never speed and use cruise control most the time. I literally have no reason to be concerned about a cop. Her paranoia makes me wonder what she is up to all the time!
i called homelink today they help me reprogram the homelink was no help,i explain the broblem to them and they say there is some interference with the signal, maby some led lights,
pull the visor down about half way and the opner will work a lot better, the new design of the 2015 interior put the visor a little more up into the head liner and it can not reach as far,,
The range on it seems to be very short for me. I usually have to be within 10-20 ft of the door to get it to work. Any further than that it will raise the door part way and it will stop. If I hit it again it will raise the door a little again and stop.
Now if I get to about 15ft away it's guaranteed to open it all the way first time.
Several times, I've reprogrammed my garage door control. It seems to work fine initially after that, but when I leave and come home, the door won't open. That is with the truck parked directly in front of the door, maybe 25' away from the opener head unit. I've resorted to keeping the old transmitter remote in the truck, so I can get in.
So, parked right under it inside the garage, it does seem to open/close the door ok. So from outside, it's very intermittent. I will try lowering the visor into a vertical position, to see if that helps radiate rhe RF better.
