First is there a thread already on this. i have searched.
i have a 2013 5.0 looking to put on duels. how big can you go, and has any one just left all the cats on and took out the muffler. years ago i did this on my mustang 5.0 and loved it. everything so far is stock on my truck. I just want some nice sound and added hp.
Lots of threads on this. It took me three weeks but I went through all 433 so when I post I don't ask redundant questions. I will tell you I learned so much about my truck and plenty of tricks like how to turn the seatbelt chime off and what remote starts are compatable etc.
Top options I have read are Borla at the top end, manga flow mid range and flowmaster 10/40/60 series low end. I looked on YouTube and found tons of videos for our trucks with all these systems so you can see what fits your desired sound level
I would have to Vote for BORLA, i had Jim from Mighty Muffler install mine and got rid of the big ole clunky stock muffler, it sounds great, low deep tone when your on the gas, and just a low purr at idle or on the highway. Jim did say my 2014 f150 5.0 had a converter and 2 mufflers on it. the smaller muffler is about identicle to what the new BORLA muffler looks like, it's a straight through design...he said if i want it louder, he could remove the other muffler and just leave my new one on, but i opted to leave it and thought the other muffler may even help with torque.
