I have an 02 5.4 reg cab 4x4 i switched out the muffler to a thrush muffler for like $40 bucks about 4 months ago and im not really liking it! it a little louder than a stock one and sounds like the a mustang and it just doesnt fit the truck so i was wondering if anyone had a setup that is a deep cackaling sound! since i work at fabrication shop as a tube bender i can make everything myself that i would need!

i replaced my stock muffler with a cherrybomb extreme muffler (55 bucks) and it is has a nice rumble at idle, gets aggressive under load, and when my trans is in overdrive it is just a little louder than stock. the extreme muffler is a one chamber muffler which the thrush that you currrently have is most likely a turbo muffler (so a well known quiet muffler).
it is really about the loud as you can go without doing straight pipe, the main killer on the trucks is the cat. converter i believe. in these trucks they quiet no matter what system you put on these trucks (vs say an F150).
