I don't have the TS, running the Gearhead'd Hydra myself. Prior to that, DP F5. Mileage on the F5 was pretty much a flat 15.2-16mpg mixed driving, mostly highway. Now on the Gearhead setup I'm seeing between 17.7-18.2mpg consistently over the course of seven tanks now, stil a good amount of freeway cruising but city stop'n'go has increased (all calculations by hand, not that overhead lie-o-meter). I am, however, on 35's without a regear so my cruising RPM is about 700-750rpm lower than stock, which makes a difference on the oil burner. Few other modifications, but nothing I would say really helps with mileage.

I can't believe that jackazz backed out on you. That's ridiculous and incredibly shady. But it really sounds like you're in good hands now. That Michael is one great guy.

How do you like the 6637 filter?

It adds a bit of induction and turbo whistle, and when I chop the throttle you can hear the air surge. However it's not ridiculous, I like it. Engine seems to like it better than the stock airbox.

That describes my S&B CAI pretty well too. I didn't think it was that bad. Once I knew what it was and when I could expect to hear it, it didn't bother me anymore. Then I hooked my trailer up for the first time and it's MUCH louder.

I'm really leaning towards the 6637 upgrade after the chip install. Did anyone have any problems with the PATS system after chip install?

If you're going to with a noisy aftermarket intake, why not go with a cold air noisy aftermarket intake?

Because the intercooler negates the need for a CAI, no point in spending the extra money when you can DIY for under $75. CAI will not even register on a power increase over the 6637.

For the PATS, my 'Theft' light flashes for the first few minutes (2-3) of driving then turns off. I could just unplug the connector under the dash, however Ford diesels are in high demand with the local theft crowd so it's staying hooked up.

Makes sense. I kinda wish I'd known that a few months ago.

Well since ive been busy and havnt been able to post. for the guy who asked about the Install of the TS chip it was easy took to attempts to get the PCM cleaned enough. My theft light stays light/flashes for 2-3 minutes.

Update on MPG Ive been driving around with the 140hp+ setting since i filled up and im going to be getting 600-620 miles to this tank which isnt hateful for it being cold and me getting on it more than often.

I plan to do the 100hp setting next to see if it changes and go down from there to give reviews and answers.

Thanks, my chip should be in today so I'll let you know how the install goes.

You won't be seeing any positive mpg changes in either of those settings. Massive overfueling off the line and throughout the RPM range. You should be lucky to see 500 miles to the tank, I hope you're not trusting the overhead console? They are inaccurate bone stock, a chip just makes them a downright Judas.

Very strong likelihood of dusting your turbo wheel with CAI, and what Matt said.
