Anybody got a line on where to get these or similar cheaper? Everywhere I've looked has the same price as mishimoto. I want the red silicone but gonna be hard to spend that much vs the regular stuff.
I know a couple of people who happily drive 6.0 powered FX4's that seldom leave the pavement and don't own anything to tow. As Everette said in Oh Brother Where Art Thou, " It's a fool who looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart".
The silicone hoses do look good and I would guess they last a long, long time but I'm still running factory hoses and they're eleven years old and still look fine.
I'm with you on that Rusty. My truck is an 05 and still has the original hoses. I do tow with it, at times over 12K.
I have been debating about the hoses, due to age, and the fact that I do not want to get stranded on the side of the road for that. It would be a nice insurance policy knowing that my hoses are good to go.
I am not afraid to spend the money to get the quality.
I agree with all of yall--I'm not into bling but I do like color No way I'm gonna spend 200 or close to when factory is way way cheaper. That's why i was seeing if anyone had a source in there back pocket. Looks like they have market set. No biggie.
My OEM hoses are still there and working. Better to get upper, lower and all the heater hoses for the same money than spend all that for just the two. Everybody likes to change rad hoses and forgets the Heater hoses is seems.
If they go you will be just as stranded.

Thanks for the interest in our hose kit! Although it appears as though you are planning to go OEM now, if the interest in our hose kit returns be sure to check with our vendors for the most competitive pricing.

Although the upgrade to silicone will not necessarily impact cooling performance, a silicone counterpart is a nice upgrade in terms of reliability. Our hoses are constructed from 4-ply silicone and are far more tolerant to heat and pressure compared to a standard rubber hose. If your stock hoses are aging and seem to be frail, the upgrade to silicone is a nice alternative.
As with all our products, we do offer a lifetime warranty on our silicone hose kits.
Three questions.
Do you offer or plan to offer a full set with all the heater hoses?
Will these hoses stand up to diesel in the cooling system such a from a cracked head dumping fuel in the cooling system or will they swell and weaken from it like rubber?
If they do swell from diesel, get damaged from extream cooling system pressure etc, will that be under warranty or does it only cover workman ship and material defect?
