scratched side window glass

Polishing glass is not really much different than polishing paint. You are removing a small layer of paint while polishing and fanning out the area around the scratch. Same idea with glass except you have to look through it after the polishing process is done. You will find a distortion every time. Minor rub marks in glass can be done with success but any scratch that you can feel with your fingernail is too deep to be polished without changing the contour of the surface.

I thought that was proven wrong back in 1800 something
Glass includes all materials which are structurally similar to a liquid. However, under ambient temperature they react to the impact of force with elastic deformation and therefore have to be considered as solids.

Looks clear to me.

I'm in the same boat, went on vacation and this happened...Attachment 114667
I have a few scratches on my driver and passenger side from lowering and raising my windows.
When I get the time I'm replacing both the rubber and the glass. Don't know of another cure.
I will tell you if you have it done at ford and it scratches up again they will replace it under there 2 year warranty.

Hot water freezes faster than cold water too.
But anyway... mine are in bad shape because I just coped with it for too long. Now I realize, after putting $3K into the 6.0 when I bought it 5 years ago and another $3K+ into it for all new injectors and a fuel pump, that I will likely own this truck for the foreseeable future that I want to replace the glass. I see on eBay that I can get new glass for both sides at around $150, but the damn belt seals will cost about that much too I am wondering...
CAN I replace the glass and somehow salvage the seals or do I have to replace the seals too? Seems I should be able to clean the seals and lubricate them to protect the new glass. Thoughts? Experience?
Thanks
