Getting ready to do maint.. need input

So I'm preping to throw some parts at my truck and would appreciate your input on things to do while I have it opened up and things to stockpile as I get ready. The idea is a little upgrade and a little preventative mtc.

I know I could get more power and better mileage with single shots but I just don't trust after market electronics. I want to be able to completely remove the chip and run off the PCM if need be so I'm staying with stock injectors. I don't need big power, want to join the 500K & beyond club like F350-6 just did, and want a little more omph when towing hence the Hydra. This is more about reliability.

On the list are:
Oil cooler seals(it leaked last cold spell so it's time)
injectors
HPOP hoses
Riff Raff Billet wheel
Riff Raff plenum inserts
UVCH's
Vlv cover Gaskets
Passngr side fuel line(mines not leaking but has a taped up wear spot)
Hydra w/TW tunes
Glow Plugs(OEM)
oil by pass filter set up (DIY similar to Springr pop and woodnthings)

Obviously I'll need pedestal and turbo o-rings, injector o-rings, extra coolant, Seals for fuel lines(not sure what size??). Already have 4 gal T6 and filter. What am I missing supply wise?

I re-torqued rocker hardware last time I was in and will obviously torque the injectors(engine hot) this time. What else do I need to look at?????

Thanks in advance for your help,

Depending on how old the line is, you might consider changing the high pressure line from the power steering pump. That seems to be the one thing everyone overlooks until it blows.

I believe Clay sells the seals you need for the fuel lines if you're ordering the other stuff from him.

Thanks Chris. Is that line fairly easy to find?

Yeah, everything from Clay so far except the chip. Going to try to call later today and discuss a few things with him if he has a minute.

Paul, will you be resealing the fittings for the HPOP hoses as well? I did all of mine at hose replacement time. Actually, the O-rings started seeping at the HPOP fittings first and the hoses were replaced due to their age.

Roland, Is it just removing the fittings and re-oringing them?

I had my P/S blow at the pump swivel connection one night when leaving from work. I was not a happy camper. Changing the line was simple enough. The oily mess and new whine that developed in the pump were not too pleasant

Yes. There are some updated fittings available with a "dust seal" O-ring on the outside edge to help aid in contamination prevention of the connection inside. I just changed the internals in my OEM fittings. My Stealth HPOP had the updated fittings in it and they were the first to leak. Apparently, the updated Eaton STC fittings do not have the same quality O-rings as the OEM or replacements. The OEM's were still soft, while the Eaton ones hardened and cracked while trying to remove them. Bob @ Diesel O-rings and I had a discussion about this. IIRC, he was going to switch them out before he sold any of the updated fittings.

So do I need 4 kits, one for each fitting, HPOP end and Head?

If you are buying the kits with the clips and Teflon rings, you will need 2 of each kit. The O-rings for the threaded ends of the fittings are 2 different sizes for the heads and HPOP.
EDIT: You would need 1 of each kit.

Thanks Roland. Will check Diesel orings and Riff Raff for the all in one kit. This is just the stuff I'm looking for. Like to get as much done at one time as I can. I like wrenching but like hunting and fishing more. Rather have the truck on the road.

Now to go find a power steering pump hose.

I looked, but didn't see an all inclusive kit. The one I was thinking about had to have the ones added for the heads and was a HPOP reseal kit. Either way, you may have to purchase 2 different kits to get them all. I already had the O-rings on hand a the time and replaced only them. I do, however, recommend going with the kits with the Teflon and clip. Sometimes things seem to mysteriously disappear. The Teflon rings and also get damaged. Sorry, I said "2 of each kit", but 1 kit does 2 fittings, so you would need 1 of each.
I got my P/S hose from Autozone. They were the closest to where I work and had it in stock.

Have some extra ELC on hand to make up for any that is lost when you drain the system. It's seemed easy enough to catch it all, but I lost about 1/2 a gallon.

Please post pics of your DIY oil bypass work. I have most of what I need to do the same when time allows.

What about a set of boots to replace the oily/worn ones that may be on your truck?

If you're doing the injectors, would now be the time to do the cups as well? You're already deep in there, and to have to do the cups later would be a complete "dig in" all over again.
