I'm gathering parts to attempt to rebuild my front end. Ball joints, wheel bearing/hubs, and cv axles, tie rod ends. Two questions, anyone know of a hack/work around for the Ford retainer clip/seal install tool supposedly necessary to install new clip/seal, and what do I dare heat if necessary to tear it all down. I've read that some things shouldn't be heated for fear of losing temper. Will only be using a mapp gas torch, don't have acetylene.
