Trailer Brake Contoller Issues
Hello All,
I need to tow an equipment trailer that has a 6-round pin connector. I picked up the converter to go from my 7pin to the 6 pin. It fits perfectly.
I tried testing the lights and stuff and everything looks great. The only problem is I can't get the brake controller to recognize the trailer. I push the manual slider to activate it, but it keeps saying "Trailer Disconnected" is there something obvious that I am doing wrong?
I imagine if I had it in upside down, none of the lights would have worked on the trailer.
Any other input?
Thanks so much

There are two wiring patterns. The brake wire is in different locations. Do you have the correct one?

Honestly I'm not sure. Do you know by chance where I could find the wiring diagram?
Thanks!

I believe they are just electric actuated drum brakes, not electric over hydraulic.

Not at the moment. Google 7 pin wiring pattern.

Some 6 in connector are wired like this:
Note the brake is in the center and 12V charge is pin S.
Some, like this:
Note the brake is now on what was the "S" pin and the 12V CHARGE is in the center.

"S" pin? I see B, on the 6 pole and 2, on the 7 pole.
The "S", on the top diagram is the same position as the "B", isn't it?

One system calls it "S" and the other calls it "B".
