No I didn't, if I had more time and found them I would have. The box came out of a junkyard I just left the original ones in the box and used compression fittings( happy with it? No but it works) .

Does someone make a rack and pinion conversion for our trucks?

Not the hydraulic kind pulled from a fork lift, a real rack and pinion.

 

The way our front suspension is designed the morning of a rack would be to the frame ttb moving up and down. Add in figuring out where and how to steering shaft just a lot going on. The 97-03s yes they feesibly could convert ( might already I don't follow that era) but for us I don't see it happening. Box swap, check all bushings, drag link tie rods and it will be fine.
