harmonic balancer problems

I have a 302 in a 1966 ford f100. Not sure what year engine is in the truck. While installing a new Comp thumper cam we noticed the rubber protruding from the harmonic balancer. I have searched ebay and several junk yards for a used replacement. The casting numbers on the balancer are C8ZE . We found castings in the intake valley that says 302 WF 1 and a circula set of numbers 63167. My question is. Can this balancer be repaired? Or what year could this engine be to search for a replacement. I will try to post photos. Thanks.

They can be repaired. The problem with a junker is it will be a crapshoot and maybe worse than what's on there now.

Try Damper Doctor or Damper Dudes...they can replace rubber ring and balance. I want to think its around $180.00...?

The ID engineering number prefix is C8ZE

Marked: C8ZE-A or AA / C8ZE-6316-A or AA = Ford part number: C8AZ-6316-A .. 302 Harmonic Balancer / Obsolete

Applications: 1968 Galaxie/LTD/Fairlane/Torino/Falcon/Comet/Mustang/Cougar.
