Most stock to mild engines will make more usable torque with a well designed single exhaust. The pulses will help each other to evacuate the cylinders. I have seen magazine tests that back this up but as always YMMV. Too large an exhaust system will actually hurt power. No need for dual 3" pipes on a stock or mildly built engine.

but with a blower, a single exhaust will be a detriment, not a benefit

My vote would be a 3" y-pipe w/single converter or dual 2.25" x-pipe w/dual converters.

Since I am a cheap ******* the single 3" is my personal favorite.

Didn't see anything about a supercharger

I saw that post but many folks have "plans" they never fulfill. Why spend twice as much for a dual exhaust just because you might...install a blower. A blower on a relatively stock engine is not going to be a 500HP powerhouse anyway.

YMMV

Thanks for all the great advice. I pulled the trigger on the last of my components today, hopefully there will be a Summit Racing Box waiting for me on Saturday. I agree that my truck will probably never get to 500HP but my Goal is to get to 400 HP. How close do you guys think I will get to my goal of 400HP with my setup? The exhaust shop can have my truck back to me mid next week if I drop it off on Monday. Figured I will finish the exhaust next week and start on the cam weekend after next. Then I can finish paying off my supercharger and get it on the truck, hopefully by the end of summer.
