Grill

Ok I know it's not lined up. It's only hanging by a few bolts. Any thought on paint schemes, etc. would be appreciated. I still have the 1971 grill. It's just not in the best shape.
I'm still undecided on what might look the best. Maybe you guys could persuade me.
I'm thinking chrome or powder coating to look like chrome would look best. But also seems to be the most expensive.

As you can see the rock guard or lower valance is for your 71 grille. In order to make it look correct you should find one from a 67 68 or 69
As for what would look better Chrome would, however it is the most expensive. Powder coating is not expensive but you'll need to make sure all the dents and dings are taken out. My experience with powdercoaters are, they do not do body work. Last painting the grille body color, it works but in my opinion it's to much body color. I like color and just enough chrome to separate the two.

Wow good eye on the rock guard. I have the right one. It's green so I put this on for color. Any idea how much powder coating would be?

Chrome it and don't look back. I would like to have a steel grille for my '68 for the same purpose.

Any suggestions on a reputable business that does chrome?

Excellent company only drawback is they're in Nashville Tn. So shipping both ways adds up. 19711969 you being in Texas it's probably do-able.
For me to chrome it here in So.Cal. cost would be about $800.00 to $1000.00 that's the grille shell and both headlight bezels.
I have a couple of steel ones, I believe I have a 67 and a 68 Not ready for chrome yet. I recently did a 67 and DAAMMMNNNN!! was all you could say when it was installed.
I'd be curious to know what advanced Plating would charge.
