I recently came back from a camping and wheeling trip and when i finally got back into town my truck began stalling out occasionally at stoplights. I parked my truck in the drive way and wathced the idle while idleing in park, the RPMs would go from around 800 down to almost zero then back up and then eventually stall out completely. I left it be for the night and the problem was there when i went to the store the next day. I got up this morning to try to feel around and listen for leaks etc and it ran fine for about 20-30 minutes while i was doing this. I know my K&N filter is filthy as it was dirty before the trip and we spent hours wheeeling in horrible dust. But other than that I have no idea why it would have all of a sudden got this problem. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be my problem??? I would love to avoid taking it in to a shop for the old reach around!
Go EASY on the oil when you re-oil the K&N or you'll likely coat your MAF sensor with oil causing you more problems. I'm almost willing to bet your trouble is the IAC though.
