Remove rear seat?

[Hello, I am wanting to remove the rear seat on my 012 Lariat crew cab. I removed the under seat storage box and electrical plug. I need to do this to make more room for our two dogs who travel with us. Will there be any problems or surprises with this removed ? Thanks! Jim :-

Are you saying you want to perm remove the rear seats? if yes, check with your state DMV, in NY if you remove your second row seats you have to change your reistration class from passenger to commercial.

Yes,, Just want to remove the rear seat to make more room for the dogs. Plan to wrap the seats in plastic and store in my storage building. I don't think Georgia cares if you have rear seats or not. Thank's Jim

Removing the seat is easy. There are a number of threads covering the topic. Basically, you remove the seat back by locating the three clips that hold it in place and using a screw driver press the clips down to release them. Pull the top of the seat away with your hand and you will be able to see them. Then you remove the head rests, the seat belts and the bolts that hold the seat bottom in place. You will need a couple of larger "star" head bits for the bolts. I found them at the big box stores.

I use my truck for camping so instead of the dog, I have an ARB cooler and a shelf with clothes rod. Mine is a supercab.
