A friend of mine has a 2004 Expedition with a 5.4 and is having issues with the starter. He had to replace the starter before winter and now every time he drives through snow the truck won't start the next morning because the starter acts like it's froze up. He turns the key and there is no click or anything, but if he gets the truck in a heated shed or puts a heater blowing on the starter it will work. Anybody have any ideas what is going on? This is the first winter he's had the vehicle. He talked to the service manager at the local Ford dealership and he told him it was normal for this to happen and he's seen it a lot..
