I also say Bolt them in. You never know what other kind of engine you may want to swap some day. 390/428, 429/460....
2x. One should have a game plan but One should also consider the future. Especially if the School bully and his little boy bow tie with a built 350 belly button motor takes your truck by 3 car lengths. What would you do then???

EZ... put a fender into 'em and watch him wad up in a ditch.
Well, I realized I'm missing the fuel injector harness and the computer. The computer needs to be year specific which is a PITA, but for the price I got everything it's still a score. Have a lot of body work to do, so I'll start sanding till I complete the setup.
1 drove my 67' for years without a reverse. You just need to plan your parking escape.
I did that for 8 months in my Honda Accord, never had a problem, always thinking ahead. Park where there is an incline so I can just roll backwards, or park where I can pull out forwards, etc. Then one day, I got my karma payback. Sitting at the intersection of two 4-lane roads, waiting for my green arrow so I can turn left, when from the other road comes a big 18 wheeler (all stickered up with "student driver" logo's) trying to make a right turn towards me, but he over-shot and is coming right at me. He inches forward and looks at me and I look at him, I can tell there is no way he can cut the wheel hard enough to get past me.
So I take off my seat belt, open the door, and get out. He probably thinks I am about to make some jackass confrontation over it. But nope I stand there in traffic and push my car backwards 8 or 10 feet to give him room. Embarrassed as all hell. He was chuckling when he passed me and gave me the thumbs up.
