checking for a bent rod.
Has anybody figured out a way to check for a bent connecting rod with out tearing down the motor?
The rocker arms come off and I pushed a bunch of diesel past the rings a bent rod would explain the vibration and why I can't seem to make it run right.

Usually a bent rod is associated with a knock, in which case is easy to verify by pulling the plug wire, in this case, injector line, associated with that cylinder. If the knock goes away you have your cylinder. If you check all 8 and the knock persists, its probably a main. Obviously this works with any kind of spun bearing.
