So I bought my EX well used, she's no beauty queen but I like Her. That said She has an issue I am hoping for an economical fix. The two font door panels have Vinyl trim, while the back doors have the faux wood trim. Anyone have recommendations on a best course of action to fix Her up? Thanks for any tips or guidance you all can provide.
IMHO since the back doors will be harder to find trim for (as they are specific to the excursion) I would replace the front trim to match the back. You'll have a wider choice of options since the doors are shared with the Superduty Trucks.
Agree that the wood looks better, however two new door panels(or used) with shipping adds up to more than I really want to spend for something that is just cosmetic. Hoping there may be other ideas, does anyone make a replacement trim piece? or if I took them off and had them dipped or sprayed or brushed or whatever does it matter that they are different? If I pull the vinyl could I get away with paint and make them all the same or would the plastic that the vinyl is wrapped in be too small compared to the wood? I found the post where someone painted theirs, but they were all the same to start.
There could be thousands where you are and we wouldn't be able to tell you... want to know why? You never finished your profile and added your location adding that helps a lot
I've thought about the rattle can, bur my concern is that the vinyl wrapped ones will be thinner material than the wood and will end up looking kinda goofy.

I was just joking, I would not worry about it , there will be plenty of other EX pendatures needed. Just drive the wheels off her.
