You can cut it, you can let it lay on the floor, or you can remove it entirely.

You will need a column out of an automatic truck, so grab the pedal while you are there.

brutus67, I still have my original 3 on da three brake pedal in my 66 after converting to auto C6. It has been a dozen plus years ago, but the hardest part was removing the clutch return spring.

Should you be thinking a disc brake power steering upgrade, I would hold off and swap in the tranny at the same time. You will need a different shorter column.

Just make a plan before you jump in and have a column that you need to sell.

The brake pedal on an auto is a slightly wider pad (1973 and later).
1967/72 F100/350: The brake & clutch pedal pads are the same width and part number (B7A-2457-A).

Beginning in 1973: With A/T, the brake pedal pad is wider (D3TZ-2457-A) than the clutch pedal pad (B7A-2457-A).

1968/72 F100/350: The brake pedal (C8TZ-2455-E) is the same with A/T & M/T.

With M/T, the brake pedal rides on the shaft of the clutch pedal. With A/T, there is a separate shaft that the brake pedal rides on.
