I got done reading the thread and noticed it was 4 years old.

For clarification, what does everyone do when they bleed the injectors? Do you use a rag around the top of the injector to prevent if from spitting everywhere? I always wear safety glasses when I bleed the injectors, but the spitting diesel has concerned me given that our injectors pop at such hi pressure.

BTW, reps given to you tecgod13. Safety first!

When you are bleeding the Injectors, it`s just loosening the fuel cap where the hard line screws onto the Injector.
Crack it a turn as the engine is cranked over, when you see fuel at that Injector seep out, the air is purged from
that line. Then tighten down the cap, and go to the next one seeping fuel till the engine starts.

You won`t get any fuel injected through your skin, unless you remove the hard line and place your finger in the
injected stream of fuel.
Setting the pop pressure on Injectors in another NO NO about placing your finger/hand in the injected fuel stream.

Actually any hydraulic system that may have a leak, say in a hose on any type equipment...Back Hoe etc.... if there
is a leak do not run your hand along the hose looking for the source of the leak.

This reminds me when I was going through Boot Camp in the Navy. When we were getting our shots, they lined up the
company, and we walked past 2 Core Men, and they had these high pressure guns that injected the vaccine right through
our skin...no needle. I saw a few guys that flinched, and it would slice their skin.
Damn...that was 56 yrs ago...and Iam not even that old...how does that work???

I read through it too and realized it is a few years old also.
poster hasn`t been back, and that was 5 days ago. Guess not in a big hurry to get it running.
