BuzzLOL, I heard that also. havn't seen many later blocks, but interested in where Ford felt the blocks needed extra iron. I'm starting to get the picture that they started with rock solid castings and then, pinching pennies per block, they removed material til they had problems, then added some iron back, or possibly just went to a modified earlier block. IDK. I've read where Tim praises these later blocks. I will keep my eyes and ears open and see if I can find one of these later truck blocks and compare to what I have.

some pictures of the SLOW progress I'm making. All that's left is getting the block machined and it will be time to start assembling.

How, EXACTLY, are you trying to upload pictures?

I will suggest clicking the mountain-and-sun button at the top of the editor, insert your pictures there (BE SURE TO CLICK THE GREEN INSERT BUTTON IN THE TOP-RIGHT) as this will fairly easily let you include pictures inline with text.

none of my older pictures will post either, the ones in my album that I've posted before. yes going to the sun and mountain. have tried to upload from my computer and from my album. All that works, but when I click insert that page disappears and nothing is inserted into my post. Weird. it seems to work for you tho.
